Terms of sale
Last updated 2026-08-25
These terms apply to every order placed on this site. Placing an order means you have read and accepted them. Please read section 3 and section 4 carefully; they concern safety and are the reason this page is not boilerplate.
1. Who you are buying from
Orders are sold by 911airbags, an independent business operating 911airbags. Contact: support@911airbags.com.
2. Product and provenance
- The 991.2 Driver Airbag is custom finished to your order by 911airbags, an independent business. The finishing work is performed independently. The finished product as configured and sold is not supplied, approved, certified or endorsed by Porsche AG or any of its affiliates or dealers.
- Vehicle names, model designations, chassis codes and generation references are used only to describe compatibility. Porsche, 911 and the Porsche Crest are trademarks of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. 911airbags is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Porsche AG. Model references describe compatibility only.
- Modifying or replacing interior components may affect a manufacturer or dealer warranty on your vehicle. That is between you and your warranty provider.
3. Safety-critical component
An airbag module is part of a supplemental restraint system. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified automotive technician following the vehicle manufacturer's service procedure.
- The module must never be opened, disassembled, heated, painted over, drilled, struck, submerged, modified, or exposed to static discharge.
- The module must never be used to bypass, defeat, disable or simulate any vehicle restraint, warning or diagnostic system.
- An undeployed module contains a pyrotechnic inflator. It must be transported, stored and disposed of in accordance with the dangerous goods and waste regulations that apply where you are.
- Deployed, damaged, previously deployed or tampered modules must never be reinstalled in any vehicle.
4. Intended use and your responsibility for compliance
Vehicle safety equipment is regulated, and the rules differ by country, province and state. 911airbags makes no representation that installing this product complies with the law, regulations, inspection standards or insurance requirements applicable to you or to your vehicle.
- You are responsible for determining whether installation and use of this product is lawful for your vehicle in your jurisdiction, and for any inspection, certification or disclosure obligations that follow.
- You agree not to purchase or install this product where doing so is prohibited.
- This product is sold for installation only in vehicles and circumstances where such installation is lawful.
5. Fitment
This product is intended for the Porsche 911 991.2 (2017–2019). Not for 991.1 (2012–2016) or 992 steering wheels. You are responsible for confirming fitment before ordering. We answer fitment questions before purchase and publish a fitment guide; use them. Orders cancelled for incorrect fitment after the build has started are treated under the cancellation policy like any other change of mind.
6. Custom colors and finish variation
- Where you name a custom color, we confirm the match by email before the build begins. If we cannot match it to your satisfaction before the build starts, your order is refunded in full.
- Color, grain and nap vary between hides, between dye lots and against screen renderings. The configurator preview is a representation, not a photograph, and is not a color match guarantee. Reasonable variation is not a defect.
7. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in USD and calculated server-side from your configuration. Payment is processed by Stripe; 911airbags does not receive or store your card details. The configuration and total shown at checkout are the configuration and total of your order.
8. Cancellation and returns
Governed by the returns and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: cancel within 3 days for a full refund; after that the item is built to your specification and is not returnable for change of mind; damage and defects are covered for 14 days from delivery.
9. Warranty
We stand behind the finish and workmanship of what we build. Report any defect within the period set out in the returns policy and we will repair, replace or refund. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the product is supplied without any other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We give no warranty as to deployment behaviour, restraint-system performance, crash performance or regulatory conformity, and nothing on this site should be read as such a warranty.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act. Where such rights apply, they take precedence over anything in this section.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 911airbags is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for loss of use, loss of vehicle value, loss of profit or downtime, arising from the sale, installation, use, misuse or failure of this product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to it.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Your undertakings
By ordering, you confirm that you:
- are of legal age to enter a contract where you live;
- will have the product installed by a qualified technician and will not install it yourself unless you are one;
- will not resell, gift or transfer the product without passing on these safety terms;
- accept responsibility for the lawful transport, storage and disposal of the module once it is in your possession.
You agree to indemnify 911airbags against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of section 3, section 4 or this section, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes and severability
These terms may change; the version in force is the version published when you order. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights available to you where you live.
