991.2 fitment guide

This airbag is made for one platform: the Porsche 911 991.2. Common North American model years: 2017–2019; production, registration and wheel swaps can vary by market. Not for 991.1 (2012–2016) or 992 steering wheels. The installed steering wheel and airbag module are the final fitment reference. Three checks before you order:

1. Check the wheel

This module fits 991.2 steering wheels with the round driver module. The wheel is the reference: if it has been swapped from another generation, go by the wheel, not the car.

2. Check the generation

The 991.2 is the facelifted 991. Earlier 991.1 cars and later 992 cars are not compatible.

3. VIN as a guide

In North America the 10th VIN character usually encodes the model year: H 2017, J 2018, K 2019. Treat it as guidance, not proof; markets and registrations differ.
